A musical language
for movement and emotion
My music grows out of a desire to communicate through melody, rhythm and sound, seeking a language that speaks directly to human sensitivity. This search has shaped what I call A New Romanticism: not a return to the Romanticism of the past, but a contemporary vision of music that embraces emotion, beauty and authentic human connection.
My many years working alongside dance have profoundly influenced the way I compose, teaching me to experience music as movement, breath and energy. Some of my works are created for ballet class; others are independent piano compositions. A number of these have later found a new life through choreography.
